DigFindR can place ECW and JP2 images into its Map Window.  Both types are highly compressed image formats.  DigFindR does not really recognize them as raster images and neither type can be managed as raster images, but they do provide base imagery as might be necessary.  To insert an ECW or JP2 image into the Map Window, click on the "Insert ECW/JP2 Images" menu choice in the Imagery Menu  and you will be presented with a Windows File Dialog.  Select the file of your choice and it will automatically appear in the Map Window.  It will not appear in the Image Handler.  


ECW and JP2 images have their coordinate values and pixel values stored internally and require special software to change those attributes.  DigFindR does not have that utility.
